Rock City Awards

Okay, the results are in!

Congrats to:

Sara Marsh for the Best Female Guitarist!

Linda McDonald for the Best Female Drummer!

The Iron Maidens for the Best Female Tribute Band!
(A tie with our friends in Whole Lotta Rosies)

It was a rockin night! Lots of cool bands (and some not so cool bands) ooops - did I just say that???? Really, it was a good night! Woo hoo!

I hope you didn't actually have to sit through the set from Fifi LaRue, did you? If you did...my condolences. :Saint:

Glad as I am for you Maidens, those anti-American, terrorist-loving butt pirates at Rock City can go to hell. Or Baghdad, to be with their buddy Saddam. Then maybe a B-52 can kill two turkeys with one stone.

Honestly, I'm no redneck flag-waver, but their virulent anti-Americanism sickens me.

I agree with Melisan.

You shouldn't associate yourself with any openly political group/entity/business, etc. unless you absolutely agree with the opinions expressed by it.

Otherwise, be prepared to be labeled/typecast/criticised/ostracised based on that affiliation alone.

As for the RCN Awards, I have my own opinions about them that I won't go into here . . .

I would never associate the Maidens, or most any other band, to those fools at RCN. I mean, after 9/11, many metal musicians showed their patriotism. Remember Rob Zombie's 'Feel So Good' video?

I didn't mean to infer that. I made the statement as a general piece of advice to everyone. I am sure a loyal fan nominated the Maidens for RCN awards (and rightly so), so they became part of the event. The fact that they were in the event has nothing to do with RCN's political views of our government.

The Maidens (and the U.S.) KICK ASS!

You'd think all this praise we shower on you gals would get old after a while... it's a good thing praise is always in fashion!!!

Congrats to the Maidens, and Linda and Sara for their latest notches on the Maidens totem pole!
:hotjump:

BTW, I assume the package I sent made it safely, Linda?
