Roger Daltry

Does anyone know how Anthrax hooked up with Roger? Didn't it have something to do with Scott's girlfriend's Mom? I don't know for sure. I agree that they should have given Roger at least a verse to sing, but a duet with John would've been fuckin' awesome! Taking The Music Back kicks ass anyway!

I agree.

Daltrey has to be the "I AAAAAAAAM" guy! because if that's not him then his basically not at all on that song.

I know what you are saying - fisrt time I heard the song I thought that too - however in conversation with Charlie and Rob (dont forget he produced this album too) they told me that the Daltrey part is the response in the verse and not the chorus - If you dont belive me then just ask Rob when you see him on tour!!!!

As to the "how they met" question it is indeed true that Pearl's mum knew Roger Daltrey and she told him about the Anthrax recording and he came down to the studio and met the guys and recorded the vocal you can hear on "Taking"

yeah i don;t notice roger one bit on the song. i think it's really pointless, they should have given him at least a verse. when i see 'roger daltrey guests on WCFYA' written in press, i think it's such a con as you can't hear him!! so what- he signs a few words...pretty lame piece of hype that...
maybe meatloaf on the next record?? LOL

I thought it sucked that he didn't get a verse or something, but you can definatly hear him, roger has a distinct vocal sound, daltry's and bush's vocals are both kinda raspy and i think they go together nicely, but yes, he should have gotten a full verse, something that would have made his presence in the song more known
