I saw Dio Saturday night at the Palladium in Worcester, MA.
As always, RJD put on a killer show. If you saw him this summer as I did then there arent many surprises to the set.
The sound was killer and the band was great. Unlike the jackass he had a few yrs ago, this guitarist plays all of Tony and Vivians leads to a T.
We were about 20 feet in front of the stage, here is the current setlist in order:

Killing the Dragon
Egypt
Children of the Sea
Push
Stand up and Shout
Rock n' Roll
Don't Talk to Strangers
Man on the Silver Mountain
Long Live Rock n' Roll
Lord of the Last Day
Fever Dreams
Holy Diver
Heaven and Hell
Last in Line
Rainbow in the Dark
We Rock

Personally, I dont know why he doesnt play any Mob Rules Sacred Heart or Dehumanizer tunes.
I would love to hear "Voodoo", "Falling off the Edge of the World" "Sign of the Southern Cross" "Like the Beat of a Heart" "Fallen Angels" "Computerized God" and "After All (the Dead)"

GOD DAMN YOUR LUCKY!!!!! I was suppose to go to that show but my "friends" fucked me over. Bastards.....

But anyways....i'm glad to hear the show was good. I heard King's X sucked ass and the front row turned their backs on them and flipped them off(according to a friend). Shame HammerFall only had an half hour set. I would have loved to be there.

*Looks at the setlist and goes and cries in the corner because Dio isnt touring here*

I saw him on 11/29 and he played the exact same set. I too wish he would play songs from Dehumanizer. I am a huge Dio fan though and am just happy to hear him play whatever he wants to play! The only lame thing at my show was when some stupid motherfucker thought it would be funny to throw a beer at Dio! It didn't hit him, and it was right before they were going to play The Last In Line. Dio said they were not going to continue playing until that asshole was removed. Security escorted the idiot (not so gently either!) out the fucking door. Dipshit. Great show nontheless!

But if he played something from Dehumanizer etc. then people would complain because something else got dropped from the setlist :)

When you have a catalogue like Dio does, you cant win when it comes to the setlist! :)

Dio was the first real metal band that I ever listened to, so RJD is to blame for my becoming a lifetime metalhead! Wish I could have seen that show.

When he played EGYPT this past summer I almost passed out. He hadnt played that song live since the last in Line tour (at least not on US soil anyway)
As far as him playing Dehumanizer tunes (or MOB RULES and Sacred heart tunes) he could easily switch some things around from time to time. Im not sure why he doesnt, but I hope to get to speak with him again next time around. Ive talked to him before and he is one cool cucumber!

Oh, it was much more than just the front row. At least 6 rows back had turned around and flipped 'em off. I didn't join in, only because there was a guy near me that could easily have kicked my ass that was a King's X fan.

Still funny, though...people were yelling things like "I'd rather masturbate to my aunt than listen to this shit!" and "This is worse than Van Halen 3!"
