[Dazed and Brutal]

Epitome of modern Doom/Death, gritty yet clean, evil yet catchy, I think I'm in love. The guitarist and bassist (women of my dreams) are married and they're clearly bonded by evil as their 11 releases haven't shown any decline in quality. They've released their 11 albums over the course of 10 years and this year is still young.

The only thing I really care for by Runemagick is The Supreme Force of Eternity. Everything else I've heard by them (which is everything but the latest few) is good, but nothing comes close to comparing with the brilliant debut.

Under Funeral Wings is my favorite right now sice I've had it for like a year now and I just got The Supreme Force of Eternity. Their newer stuff is way more doomy than the debut, and I think that it's their best suited sound. However, I've only spun the debut twice so far making this opinion likely to change.

I disagree.

I'm not a big fan of their doomy sound and feel it is kinda overrated (atleast around my friends). Took quite long for me to appricate The Supreme Force of Eternity because of my preconceived opinion after hearing alot of their newer albums. Then I realised that The Supreme Force is fucking awsome and much better. It may also have something to do with that I'm kinda bored of doomdeath (listened to it quite abit a few years ago) right now and generally only listen to the classics in that genre.

one of the top 10 dm album of all time. absolutely killer release.

i do also like enter the realm of death quite a bit though.

They're definitely an interesting and underrated band.

But I really prefer their old material, when they used to play Death Metal. I have four albums (Supreme Force of Eternity, Enter the Realm of Death, Resurrection in Blood and Moon of the Chaos Eclipse); I dig all of them. Too bad their stuff is very hard to get down here.

For those who don't know the band, I would certainly recommend checking their sound; even if you don't like Doom, then check the early stuff.

Requiem Of The Apocalypse is where I think that they really started to become very interesting; I still don't know of many albums that can manage to sound so authentically fucking miserable.
