Singer Jacoby Shaddix of Californian rockers PAPA ROACH is taking time off from recording a new album with his band to focus on helping a group that is close to his heart young Americans in crisis. He has collaborated with friends who share another passion of his running to bring awareness and attention to many problems faced by todays youth. Run It Forward is putting on its Southern Pursuit tour from March 2 to March 16 and Jacoby will be running along a half-marathon per day to reach areas where the organization can help. Run It Forward (RIF) is a non-profit organization that educates on fitness, nutrition and the value of health and dental care for America's children. They aim to educate America's under-served youth on the benefits of staying physically and mentally healthy, and the impact it can have on their education. As a nonprofit, RIF stretches the limits of human endurance, tenacity and community outreach on behalf of Americas schools. Through full school assemblies and service-based projects in local communities, Run It Forward educates on fitness, nutrition, and the value of health and dental care. Run It Forward is a group of ordinary people seeking to make extraordinary impact at schools high on hope, but lacking resource. The theme for the 2014 The Southern Pursuit Tour is "I'M POSSIBLE!" As guest of local schools along the route, Run It Forward offers a 25 Minute School Assembly. Once school is released, the team host an after-school 3K Fun Run where kids get to walk, jog, run with the Runners. With the kids motivated for more, Run It Forward leaves behind a self-contained after school program that challenges kids to get moving called Project FIT. With 1500 miles of hurricane-ravaged roads, cities affected by floods, and great people like Jacoby, Run It Forward is going to deliver many things among them is hope.
