Rupture Christ - Molesting The Entrails Of The Disemboweled

Take a look at the title of the album. It's a fair bet that Rupture Christ aren't going to be playing country music, isn't it? Although it would be interesting to hear these lot jamming their way through some Hank Williams tunes... but no, I digress. What we have here is an utterly unrelenting slab of brutal, grinding porno death metal. Think somewhere between Carcass 'Necroticism', Lividity (whose track 'Oozing Vaginal Discharge' RC cover here) and Cannibal Corpse and you've pretty much hit the blood-encrusted nail on the head.
After the somewhat over-long intro (sounding like someone channel-hopping from a war movie to a porno movie then back again), what follows is ten tracks of impressively composed and played brutality. The variation within each song is refreshing within a genre which is typically quite straightforward in its approach - the band manage to fit in a lot of technicality, rhythm changes, and Doug Lapczynski in particular puts in a sterling effort behind the drumkit.
Highlights are fairly difficult to pick in an album of this sort, but the grind-pause-grind-pause dynamic of a later passage in 'Fetus Fucker' particularly got my head banging, and for sheer gross-out value, you can't really beat 'Penetrating Pre-School Pussy'.
Obviously, this isn't an album for the faint of heart, but brutal death and goregrind/pornogrind fans will be salivating over this release. Well, they'll be doing something over it, anyway...
