RUSH drummer Neil Peart has admitted to Prog magazine that he still hasn't made up his mind as to whether he is looking forward to returning to the road with the legendary Canadian rock band. "It's a true dilemma," Peart said. "There's no right answer. "People say to me, 'Are you still excited when you go on tour?' "Should I be excited about leaving my family? No, and no one should. It's as simple as that. "If you put aside the fantasy of it, it is what it is and has to be done. And that's fine and I pour my entire energy and enthusiasm into it, but, of course, I'm of two minds about the whole idea."Peart went on to explain that his ambivalence is largely due to the fact that he has a 5-year-old daughter at home."I've been doing this for 40 years — I know how to compartmentalize, and I can stand missing her, but I can't stand her missing me and it's painful and impossible to understand for her," he said. "How can a small child process that? And there's the guilt that comes with that — you feel guilty about it, of course. I'm causing pain."Two RUSH show listings (June 23 in Boston and June 29 in New York City) recently appeared on Ticketmaster.com, only to be taken down later in the day. RUSH bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee told Rolling Stone magazine that he band will likely hit the road before returning to the studio to record the follow-up to 2012's "Clockwork Angels" album. "My guess is that there would be a tour first," he said. "But I'm itching to just play and record. I would like to make another album, but I don't know where the other guys' heads are at about that. I know Alex [Lifeson, guitar] is ready to write."Released on November 11, 2014, "R40" is a superb collector's box set which brings together live performances by RUSH from each decade of their career. It includes "Rush In Rio", "R30", "Snakes & Arrows Live", "Time Machine 2011: Live In Cleveland" and "Clockwork Angels Tour" plus a bonus disc of previously unseen and unreleased live material stretching from 1974 to 2013.
