. s . o . n . a . t . a . are coming!

yeah it sort of hasn't sunk in for me yet either.i'm sure that Sonata are gonna be the best band there.gonna be a good one this year...

If them and Bodom are on the same night (which I'm presuming they are) I will be in a state of euphoric bliss for a few days afterwards!

:headbang: i drool at the fact every time i think about it !!! i cant wait !! any one got a time machine ???

I do believe in tomorrow, tomorrow will be so sweet!! :Spin:

/dan

Sonata will be class!!!
I can't say i'm looking forward to any particular bands more than the others though (With the exception of Threshold of course as they just rule over any other band by far in my opinion....) they all rule!!
Infact Threshold and Balance of Power....missed them both at 2002 which sucked so will be great to get to see them this time!
Can't get over the fact that I was in the next room to Threshold playing and missed them :( :( :( damn!
I will redeem myself by being the craziest loudest person there when they come on :p I'll be going nuts...even more than usual! :headbang:

Best album....that's quite difficult as they are all very consistent.

Although Ecliptica is my favourite, I would go for Silence as this is the first one I heard and it's the easiest to get into.

Ecliptica borders more on speed metal in places and had their finest song in my opinion 'Destruction Preventer' which is epic in every way.

Winterheart's Guild is also awesome and is a step forward for the band but you might appreciate this one more after getting into the band via one of their other albums.

There is of course the live album, which contains most of the best songs from Ecliptica and Silence but again, you might want to get a feel of their studio stuff before picking this one up.

I guarantee before too long you'll go down the same path I did and get their singles, EP's and Jap imports too!!!

Happy hunting!!! :headbang:

Yeah, I'd go for Silence first then if you like that buy Ecliptica.
If you'd just want to listen to tracks downloaded from the net i'd suggest Wolf and Raven as its quite an easy song to like...

Personally Id advise getting the Live album. As this gives a good idea of all their albums and what they can do live.
Sonata Artica are among my fave bands, and Bodom being my fave. That night at Bloodstock I expect to be one of the best nights ever.
Just the chance to see Jani, Alexi and Roope play, in one day is a dream.
Not to mention all the other bands that are gonna be there.
Cant wait! :Spin:

I got ecliptica first! I can't even remember why or how I ever came to purchase it....I tihnk I downloaded a song from it then bought it!
It is my favorite album of the 3 and I probably wouldn't have got into them as much if i'd got any of the other albums first....although they are still great.

For me Ecliptica has all my favorite songs on and is truly an amazing album!
But the way I see it is...if you're going to like them when you listen to them then any of the 3 albums will do as they are all good and the quality is consistant..just buy any! If you like Power metal then you will like it, no doubts there!

Unfortunetly man, I seriously doubt they will play Hatebreeder or Follow The Reaper at all. Which is annoying as they are 2 of my faves.
I expect it will be the same set as most of the other festivals. With Needled first Hate Me second etc. Still, Bodom is Bodom. Just to see them play is good enough for me! :worship:

For a start I can't believe Bodom are playing in my home town but also lucky me I'm just getting into Sonata. I got hooked on 'False News Travels Fast' that a friend put on a compilation for me and had to buy Silence.

I love the speed, and somehow the vox don't seem gay to me, that had always been my problem in the past. I think the catchiness has also got the better of me.
The question is which album next...

My favorite CoB song is probably Bodom After Midnight or Children of Decadence.....will they play them? :p

Oh and sisterofnight....the next album you should get is Ecliptica!!!!
Destruction Preventure, Replica, Full Moon, Kingdom for a heart and of course letter to Dana are all my favorite Sonata songs and all feature on Eclipitica :headbang:
