sad arcturus news

I thought that when they released Sham Mirrors that they said that that was going to be it, and there would be no more Arcturus albums.... Am I just really clairvoyant or what?

they were thinking of starting touring and going more serious with the band. at least the others were.. the first concert is already booked here in norway, wonder what will happen to that one

If I were releasing 5 Ulver albums in one year I probably wouldn't have time for another band either!

Has Garm EVER performed live with ANYONE?

Or does he just have terminal stage fright?

well.....I don't know what to say
it saddens me because his voice was one of my favorite things on that band
but Vortex would be a nice add up to it

Maybe hes recording another Nattens Madrigal with Ulver. Wait, I forgot, my fantasy world doesnt exist, and much to my chagrin they arent black metal anymore. Oh wellz

Note: Ulver is obviously not a black metal band and does not wish to be stigmatized as such. We acknowledge the relation of part I & III of the Trilogie ("Bergtatt" & "Nattens Madrigal") to this culture, but stress that these endeavors were written as stepping stones rather than conclusions. We are proud of our former instincts, but wish to liken our association with said genre to that of the snake with Eve. An incentive to further frolic only.

If this discourages you in Any Way, please have the courtesy to refrain from voicing superficial remarks regarding our music and/or personae. We are as unknown to you as we always were.

and for garm leaving arcturus.. i wasnt expecting arcturus to do anything again so it is ok news.. it could turn out good or bad. who knows.

Garm also reveals that Ulver's next album will be called Utopian Enterprises and will be "filthy. It won't be violent musically, but it will be violent in other ways. We're returning to more conventional song-structures, but we'll still be trying to take the sound of things further."

sweet. I wonder what the hell that means. and if thats the new full length or something else.

Utopian Enterprises is the new full length. Nattens Madrigal is being rereleased (remixed and reworked) this year as well, along with another film score I believe.
