Salem Armory

Just got back from Anthrax at Salem Armory...and I must say that the Armory needs to do a WAY BETTER JOB getting people in the door. Seriously, by the time my buddy and I got inside Anthrax was already on their last 2 songs! There were a lot of disappointed Thrax fans. I heard it all around me. The songs I did see however were stellar. It was so fuckin sweet seeing the original lineup for the first time (even for just 2 songs). The sound was very muffled for both acts. I did happen to get a CDC sticker that was thrown out though. Hopefully they come back when the new album is released.

I agree about the line outside! We walked into the main room just as Anthrax hit the stage. I would have been really pissed if I would have missed the mighty Thrax, since I'm not a huge Zombie fan.

Here is the setlist. Hope I get it right.....

Madhouse
Got the Time
Caught in a Mosh
Antisocial
I Am the Law
Indians
A Skeletin in the Closet
Bring the Noise

May not be listed in the exact order, but very close....

I was thrilled the hear Skeletin! As far as I remember.....this is the first tour it's be played since the Among tour in 87'. I know they played it @ the Roseland Theater (might even have still been called Starry Night in 87'), but I was there, and that headlining show (with Metal Church) is still one of the 3 best concerts I have ever witnessed.

Can't wait until the next time Anthrax hits the Pacific Northwest!!

That was it, I think. Great to get to see the band. I finally got to meet Joey and Dan. Both were really cool, just like the rest of the band. I finally got to meet some other people who I know from online.

SWEET! Met Joey 4 hours before the show, he's so cool. Got backstage and snuck a friend and some chic with me. We got 2 guitars signed by the whole band and got individual pictures and group pictures. As we waited on stage left to get behind the door, Rob Zombie was playing. There was someone in a weird costume with an alien head or some s**t, so we got to the edge of the stage and got a couple pics of that. Security didn't seemed too pleased and damn near got our a$$e$ kicked and thrown out, but luckily we got back anyway. They were supposed to do an aftershow party at Stars, so I went there to get my other guitar signed. They never showed and I left at about 2:15am only to find that my rig was towed! Finally got home at 4:15 am, and retrieved my ride at 9:15 am for a mere $265!!! Talk about being bummed! But at least I got some stuff signed and got some pix :)

Your buddy Clay was telling me about your excursion to Best Buy. You are a lucky guy:rock: . It must have been the message board meet and greet this weekend:lol: Seems like a lot of us hung out.. We should both meet up with Clay in Wisconsin, have a few beers and catch a metal show next summer.

Who were you again?
I'm that guy who only got to hang out with you for 5 minutes or so. :erk: Sorry we had to leave early. We didn't even get a chance to have beer. Next time.
We have pictures from the gig. (See other thread.)
