I sampled Windmill Lane's Steinway piano today with my first year audio students.
Every 4th note at 3 velocity layers, mic'd with a pair of Earthworks omni mics into the Neve console.
This was a BIG job to record, edit and map the samples into a MIDI instrument but the end result is fantastic!
