Samples from Gillan's new album

Here's a link to some new samples of the new Gillan record.....namely of Trashed, Men of War, Unchain your Brain, and Bluesy Blue Sea.

Cool on this too, as Men of War is one of the best songs he's ever recorded (solo) IMO, and this is a fine version. Also, Trashed works. It's a bit modernized, but sounds cool as an alternate version, so to speak.
I'll be interested to hear what some of you Born Again diehards think (of which I am one). Also, that Iommi playing there on the new version, with Paice and Glover as well. I'll buy this first day out, but then Gillan is probably my favorite singer.

He sounds pretty damned good for a 60 year old if you ask me.

Well, from the samples I'd say it's not bad. Didn't really rock my world though. That version of Trashed is too laid back IMO. And if he's gonna modernize the sound he should have at least changed the line from "I had the tape deck roaring" to "I had the cee dee roaring" or something like that.

He does sound great though, for a 60-year-old. Gillan's still one of my faves. It was very interesting to hear a snippet of Unchain Your Brain. I had Glory Road on cassette way back in the day. Not sure what ever happened to it, but I know I don't have it anymore. Probably got stolen in The Great Tape Take of '88. I lost so many great albums that fateful day, although I've replaced most of them.
