So who will be there rockin' out on Sat night?

Jasonic here sure will be! (Thanks to Jasonic's generous mother-in-law willing to babysit!)

"Into this darkness I forever mourn my loss.... Only a moment's time... to scream my name!!" :kickass: :kickass: :kickass:

Just got home from the gig.
I really don't think I can say anything about ND live that hasn't been said.
An absolutely amazing performance.

I lost my voice during "Drown The Inland Mere"

Even though I am Jasonic, Chris looks more like Jason Newsted than I do!! Even has the same stage presence!!! In all seriousness, he did a great job as well.

It was nice meeting Paul, Arline, and Dan (Eden's Fall) for the first time in person as well. Only at a ND show can you talk about your kids as much as metal...

Thanks to those who came to the show and stuck around. It wound up being one of the better crowds we've had at a Chicago show, actually. Everyone reacted enthusiastically and that really helped us alot. Especially considering we had a total of three mics on the stage. Eesh.

Thanks to everyone that came out tonight and stayed for our entire show. This was one of our best Chicago shows I have to say. The crowd was great, and really thrilled about watching us, which usually doesn't happen for us in Chicago haha.

Very rockin crowd indeed! Definitely the most energetic crowd I have seen for you guys. It was awesome. My neck is wrecked!

For those who missed it, you missed Paul and Larry "shakin what their mama gave them" during the intro of Lost in a Day

It was definitely worth the drive and late night out (in bed by 3am, being woken up by the kids starting around 5:30am). Thanks for playing!

Based on hearing Drown the Inland Mere when it got posted a while ago and now hearing it live, I think one the spots in my "Top 5 Songs of 2007" list is already reserved.

(Another spot is reserved by a new track I heard from Circus Maximus in September that will be on their - hopefully - 2007 CD ... that's mostly a reference for Vito :)

Now I get to spend the day cleaning the kitchen and mopping floors to get ready for our Christmas party tonight. That's so metal! :headbang:

Ken

Ken thank you for the compliments you rule brother! Thanks for the heads up too :)

Was good seeing Ken, Jasonic, the Danimal, and all of you who made it out. Thanks again and hopefully we'll see you again soon.

No prob Larry! Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to talk to you on Sat. Maybe next time. My neck is STILL killing me!!!
(New material is just TOO heavy!!!)
At least I somewhat have my voice back.

Thanks. It was an awesome show to say the least. My neck is still killing me too!

It was really cool to meet and talk to Jason, Arline and Paul. Its funny how much we "talk" to people on the forum and sometimes it is months or years before you even actual meet them in person. Its great to have a face to put with the names.

I had never been to Lot4 before, but I thought it was a pretty cool place. If they continue to have metal shows, I will plan to make it out more often.

BTW, it was killer to hear the 2 new songs live. I am SO looking forward to February 20th! I cannot remember the last time I was this excited for a new release. I have a feeling 2007 gonna be a great year for Metal!!! :headbang:

This experience sounded great. Cheers to all who were there. I guarantee, before I take my dirt nap, I will see Novembers Doom perform live, if it's one of the last things I do!!. My funds and transport fell through this time. It will NOT happen again, for I have FIRED my previous entourage. But, there will be a time when I, with my new people, will be where ever we need to be in full force. I WILL GET THIS DONE.

Lot 4 was an OK place, but I seriously doubt we would ever play there again. If we were to, some serious issues with the club would need to be worked out. I'm not sure you guys know this, but the sound man was being a prick to everyone all night, and I can't forget to mention the fact the ONLY thing he had going through the PA was vocals. Nothing else was micd. There was only one monitor wedge on stage, which hardly worked... Really, one of the worst sound systems we've been forced to use at a gig. We have better sound when we rehearse. Lot 4 could be very cool, if they get someone to run sound who actually isn't afraid to work. All the bands would ask him for more vocals in the wedge, and he was no where to be found. He would leave the board, and disappear.

Local shows...

Other then the sound issues, the show was great. Thanks to everyone who came out. It restored my faith in Chicago a little bit.

Let's see a turnout for Nebraska/Iowa/South Dakota/Kansas/Missouri!!!

Haha. I'll make it to one in the next few years. I promise.
