Saw Testament last night......

I saw them on the 6th in camden. It was my first time seeing them live and the were tight. My only complaint is their set wasn't long enough. 4 songs in a half an hour. I hope they come around again with a different tour and are higher on the food chain.:headbang:

They played a off night at The Chance here in NY. Set was roughly over a hour and a half. They played every single song I wanted to hear. It was most awesome.

When i heard they only get a half hour opening for Preist and Motorhead I got
.

I was at the Chance to see em last night too They were awesome and i 'm glad that they played so many older tunes. They can still kick ass. I just wish Chuck could hit the high screams like he used to( The Preacher comes to mind). Oh well, they still rule!!!!!!

Believe me, he can hit the high notes still, he apparently doesn't want to (he prefers to replace the high ends with growled ends), which is a shame. In fact, his range seems to be even wider these days. When I saw them during the Ten Days of May reunion tour he'd shriek that high on some of the old songs occasionally. I hope he uses that on the new record on one or two songs instead of growling. That would be cool

I was at the Chance as well.. GREAT show!! They played a lot of the "older" stuff that we wanted to hear.. It was my 1st time seeing them live & I guarantee it won't be my last!!

Could someone post the songs they played? The show I'm going to, Motorhead won't be playing, so maybe Testament may have a longer set.

I really like the low end spin Chuck has put into the new songs.I think it really updates it and keeps it from being cheesy.Don't get me wrong I don't find Chucks voice cheesy at all.But when I'm driving down the street blasting Testament I'd rather a deep fierce growl than a high pitched screem. It just sounds more evil to me.But I do like the original as well.I have a question, when Gregg plays stuff off the Gathering does he switch to a 5 string? All the pics I have seen he is holding a 4 string.

Awesome show at the chance,We drove down from albany,When they first announced this ,I had to see testament for a full show, not 30 min.Met alex and eric before the show, also they were filming it right next to me,the guy said it may come out on dvd??:headbang::headbang:
