When I heard the intro, I thought, wow this is good shit, they are back but those clean sections are so cheesy, so gay, so uninspiring. Really hope for better and darker tracks, because this one it´s not good. Even the heavy parts are good but not great.

Yeah, wasn't really impressed with the track either to be honest. I don't know about cheesy or gay but it's definitely uninspired, nothing stuck with me after listening to it a couple of times, which is really out of character for a scar symmetry track.
The solo is cool though, as expected :)

Scar Symmetry lost me after holographic universe, and not because of älvestams departure.

I find myself digging this song, really nice mix.
Keen to see if I'll find myself streaming it again in the near feature. Would be awesome if Scar Symmetry would excite me again.

What a bad edit on the vocals at 0.47 "e-lite" though haha

Holographic Universe it´s probably their best one, with Pitch Black Progress coming close. Anyway, I think The Unseen Empire it´s awesome. The songs are much more simple, some of them have some 80´s hard rock feeling, lacks some prog vibe from older albuns but the songs are catchy and very well written.

The only weak album for me it´s Dark Matter Dimensions, it sounds quite uninspiring but it has one of their best songs ever, A Parenthesis In Eternity. The rest is quite forgettable.

This song has one of the most cheesy chorus ever, remind me those glam rock bands from 80´s but in really bad way.

I loved the chorus. The rest of the song is kinda bland though. To each his own, I guess.

Ever since Christian Älvestam left the band, I think that its main redeeming quality is the lead work of Per Nilsson. Unfortunately, as good as it is, it can't save the band from being boring now IMO. :(
