[Human Extinction]

Scar Symmetry is an interestin band who are similair in sound to the

likes of Hypocrisy, Bleed the Sky, and bands who sound similair to the

ones mentioned in the pciture above. They are currently signed to

Nuclear Blast records, and their label has this to say about them:

"SCAR SYMMETRY was formed in 2004 when Jonas Kjellgren (Carnal

Forge, Centinex, World Below), Henrik Ohlsson (Theory In Practice,

Mutant, Altered Aeon), Per Nilsson (Altered Aeon), Christian Älvestam

(Unmoored, Incapacity, Torchbearer) and Kenneth Seil decided to put

together a brand new constellation that would express a fresh and heavy

form of catchy death metal without any boundaries whatsoever. The

band wanted to incorporate huge synthesizers into the music, along with

blazing vituoso guitar soloing, which would all be backed up with

complex but catchy rhythms and every style of singing known to metal in

general. "

So check out the New CD as soon as you can.

[Death Aflame]

Absolutely phenomenal vocalist, such range and power (see Unmoored for better work). I have listened to the new album only once through and I thought it was decent poppy melo-death but overall the debut is stronger. The players are all obviously quite talented but this release just hasn't grabbed me like Symmetric in Design did.
