What a great album! Neway, I was wondering if ne1 knew which songs/line Petrucci sang. Also I know the plot, but do you have ne idea what the final 3 minutes of the last song of the album is about? With the news and the white noise etc.?

And how Petrucci got so good on guitar? Grrrrrr  How dare he be able to play like that :spin:

About the last three minutes, I kinda know. Here goes: Nicholas is coming home, parks his car and walks over the yard to his house. The news you hear is from Nicholas car stereo as far as I know. Inside the house we find the hypnotherapist. Nicholas enters the house, unaware that the hypnotherapist is inside. Nicholas puts on a record, take a glass of water or something and sit down in a chair and close his eyes. The hypnotherapist enter the room and say "Open your eyes Nicholas". The noise in the very end is the record player which fell to the floor.

I thoguht he got shot earlier in the song, where you heard all the gunshots and people screaming?

That happened in the past. The end occurs in the present.

The triple-cd has been delayed because of its cover. It was gonna get released on the exact day the WTC was hit! The cover had a big apple which was supposidely new york city in flames. Therefore Dream Theater delayed the release to change cover artwork.
As for what happens in the last 3 minutes; Nicholas goes home. Parks his car, pours some wine and turns on the tv. Heres the juice, Nicholas now thinks that he's the girl who got murdered and the hypnotherapist thinks that he's the guy who killed her. I dunno how this happened though.. Mike just said it in the DVD

Well I was just wondering some people already have the recalled one, mine will be here in a few days. I was wondering if it was a good live album or if I should have waited for the reissue of it and not spend so much to get it early.

I never could quite get into this album (or dream theatre)

Can anyone help me out? Probably the only song I like is "through her eyes"

I figure mainly because it doesn't feel like metal, and I can't stand the voice of the singer.

Can you guys give me a clue? :err:

Its supposed to be their best yet, far better than the livetime one

The new cd DID get released on the day all that happened, it got called back a couple days later, but luckily I got it the day it came out...and yes it's awesome, it didn't come out of my cd player for about almost a week after I got it heh

The idea is that one brother (Edward) killed the other (Julian) and then Victoria... he says "Open your eyes Victoria" before he shoots her, and the aforementioned gunshot goes off, and Victoria's scream. Obviously as Nicholas is the reincarnated soul of Victoria, the significance to the Hypnotherapist saying "Open your eyes Nicholas" at the end of the record is to signify that HE is the reincarnated soul of Edward, and thus, in a twisted sort of way, history has repeated itself and the album ends on the soul of Victoria/Nicholas being murdered by the soul of Edward/Hypnotherapist once again.
