The truth is I had removed a 'demo re-release' section from this entire essay. Then I walked into Kråklund Shåp and saw that CD of all the Nihilist demos. Beyond all common sense, and against my principles, I wanted it. It's pre-Left Hand Path for crying out loud! Then I saw the price tag. This collection of fifteen-plus year old demo material, released by the band itself, was more expensive than any brand new album released by Roadrunner, Spinefarm, Century Media, Metal Blade, or Nuclear Blast. I did not buy it.

Classic material never gets old but it is an insult to take unprofessional recordings out of mothballs and expect people to pay real commercial product prices for them. Fuck off.
