Sebastian Bach - Angel Down cd

Overall it's a very good CD - a lot better than Skids last 2 efforts. My main problem is Bach has to scream the high notes rather than sing them (and it gets annoying after 10 songs). Half of the album sounds like the same song.

Overall, not too bad though. Very heavy effort - but what do you expect when Metal Mike writes most of the album?

Hey guys don't scare me. I already pre-ordered it at The End, I was hoping for a good effort. It'll come my way any given day.

NP: Lordian Guard - 'Behold A Pale Horse'

i love this album. like stated before its way better than the 2 skid row album with solinger on vocals. i like the fact its a mixed bag of styles

the few tracks i heard live when we supported seb a few years ago sounded really good..not heard the album tho.
most impressive thing i've seen about it so far is that it got lots of complimentary things said about it on blabbermouth...a real rarity!

I got my copy today, so:

1) The opener and title track sucks!, is a terrible screamed noise which I don't even qualify as metal, some mallcore crap maybe :puke:
2) The songs with Axl Rose are alright so I don't see a problem with it.
3) The Aerosmith cover is ok but unnecessary.
4) It's indeed a mixed bag but that is not bad totally, most songs are alright and when he's not screaming Sebastian proves he still have a good voice.

It won't make the top 10 or 20 but is not a crappy album either.

NP: Sebastian Bach - 'Falling Into you'

I told you...:lol::lol::lol:

Yes I quoted you, but unlike you I don't find it totally inconsistent maybe because I filtered the crap so the rest gels alright for me.

I heard the opening track and left it at that...

You must go beyond, the title track is HORRIBLE, I was about to ditch it and bang my head against the wall for spending the money when I heard the second one and the whole things turned over. I just recorded it on tape taking out the opener and the Aerosmith cover, the rest of the album clicks okay at 46:27 :)

NP: Cypher Seer - 'V.666'

i actually like the aerosmith cover more than the aerosmith version

I wouldn't mind the cover if it was a more appealing Aerosmith song, I just simply don't like the original either.

NP: Lorihen - 'Vida Eterna'

The cover didn't do much for me personally. But the rest of the disc is fantastic.

I'm currently on a laptop with a dying battery in sunny FL. Nothing like Xmas @ Disneyworld.

Anyone know of any good metal shops in the orlando area?

Oh, and Merry Axemass. Glad to see the UMOS board still going strong.:kickass:

A few songs were allright, but it was mostly dislike. At least he's trying though, gotta give the chap that.

That's the problem...
No wonder Ralph Santolla ran screaming in the opposite direction...

 Straight to Deicide and then Obituary...

My opinion of this disc is mixed as well, mainly because the songs aren't as strong as I thought they would be. I like the title track, unlike a lot of you. I love when he balls out screams, just like he usually does live.

I remember seeing the Skids on the Slave to the Grind tour with Pantera as the opener and there was no denying that touring with that band was rubbing off on Baz.

So... when can we expect a Damnocracy release?!?!?!? :loco:

Rachel Bolan had a really funny quote about Supergroup last year. He was asked if he had seen the show to which he replied:

"I saw some of the show and it was pretty funny. I felt sorry for the other guys because when I looked at them, I never saw four guys so miserable in my life. Then I thought, 'Oh wait, yes I have!'"
