I have a "real job" that occasionally requires me to travel (to really great places so far) and so I had to leave the play-in-a-band-scene a few years ago. But I still stay involved with video and audio recording.
I'm 32, fit, trim, looking for metal chicks in Austin, TX. Drop a line, e-mail, or whatever.

Do you not like the 'metal music' at metal shows? The main reason I go is for good songs.
...My opinion is that actually having sex is better than looking at some bland photo or watching other people putting on a sex show.

Get real: Visuals are the first impression most people get of any performer. First impressions last. If a band attracts hot chicks, then guys will show up to buy CD's, and concert tickets. Also, lots of sexy or cute girls means a band will always look cool on TV or in print media. The music doesn't sell if no one looks at a band and wants to know more. Bands also create a mystique about themeselves if they can get hot chicks to flock to their shows.
The critics of heavy metal who compare successful bands, their record covers or videos with pornography, are essentially correct. Sex sells. Don't believe it? What's 'the world's oldest profession?'
The metal scene exploded in the 1980's when the hot looking girls started to get into metal, big time. Metal was pushed underground and langushed in the 1990's when the metal scene became cluttered with too many bands made up of fat ugly guys, or filthy looking louts, and shaggy slobs; with too many tattoos, spikes, piercings, etc.
The underground scene is growing, but it's remaining largely underground. Too many metal bands are not TV friendly, and they look like dirtbags, so they are a huge negative-sell on the cover of magazines.
I DO commercial audio and video. The record companies, investors, and other financiers won't even give a listen to " ... another metal band who look like they just got out of prison... ".

It is you who are clueless. I have no idea what you do, but it seems highly unlikley that you could ever hope to support yourself in music.
Image is critical in a media age. And you really need to check the facts regarding where the money is flowing these days in entertainment (music in particular). If you had a few facts (rather than your pitifully inadequate personal recollections) to presdent, than you might be able impress us with something other than your colossal stupidity in public.
But do keep yourself as deep in the underground as you can manage; that's where worms, and others who are unfit for any normal social interactions, belong.

Metal Bands which fail to attract lots of hot chicks in their audience have about a 0% chance of getting a record deal.
"Music", per se, is to concerts what "skiing" is to a ski-weekend - (just a dodge, for making out inside the lodge).
