Symphonic death metallers, SepticFlesh, just played their Infernus Sinfonica II orchestral show in Mexico to a sold-out crowd. The band shared the stage with 200 musicians which is the largest army they have managed so far. The band is continuing their momentum with the release of their newest EP, Amphibian, which is now available digitally via Nuclear Blast. The EP will be available as a special LP + CD package on March 14.
Today, SepticFlesh releases the animated video for the title track just in time to kick off the band’s Modern Primitive In North America 2025 Tour, which will make stops in Las Vegas, Joilet, and Montreal before concluding in New York on March 2. Joining the 19-day trek are none other than Vltimas and recent addition Stormruler who are replacing Ex-Deo on the run.

Amphibians EP tracklisting:
“Amphibians”
“The Experiment”
“History Repeats Itself” (Orchestral Version)
“The Experiment” (Orchestral Version)
“Amphibians” video:
SepticFlesh has a remarkable ability to maintain continuity from album to album, while at the same time building on what has they have created in the past. Lyrical elements incorporated in all of their albums are based on opposites. For example, the ideas of heaven and hell, good and evil, or development and destruction have often served as metaphorical images in SepticFlesh’s lyrics. Musically, the band also plays on opposites, using the dynamic differences between dissonant vs. melodic and dark vs. light to create a blend of gentle orchestral passages with the heavy wall of sound that produces something very unique in the world of metal music. With the release of their most recent EP, Amphibians, SepticFlesh continues to create a story that is equally as compelling as the music. So, dive in and become immersed in the world of amphibian demigods, the Nommo. Behold the Amphibians!
