I used to have "Arise" until some fuckwank on the footbal team stole my CDs in 9th grade. And I haven't rebought it. Ugh. I am a retard.

yeah this album is pretty god damn mandatory.

i still remember the day i received it in the mail (1992 perhaps, maybe 1993?), on the first spin my dad came in and told me how big of a loser i was and how i'd never go anywhere in life, then as soon as he walked away all i could think was "damn, Sepultura kicks ass." :tickled:

lolololol. Yousendit plz i'm a n00b ,eventhough I've probably heard it already

i need to dig out some old bands ... all I hear here is talks about

- Sepultura
- Megadeth
- Slayer
- Exodus (from me, but really I am talking to myself)
- occasional Kreator talks
- occasional Celtic Frost talks

we need to dig up some lower key bands from the 80's ...

Desperate Cry is their magnum opus, or whatever the hell they call their best track evar!!!111 It totally kicks my ass every time I hear it, even after 1 billion listens and 15 years. I still remember Rikki Asshat introducing the song on Headbanger's Ball:

"And here's Sepultra with Desperate City"

Yeah, he pronounced Sepultura without the second U and called it Desperate City. I guess he was too busy listening to his poseur wannabe glam rock to actually know anything about real metal.

haha, i'm totally in one of those faux-live Sepultura vids, i think Refuse/Resist but i dun't amember.

btw ,,, nad, if you are a fan of that type of buildup as the end of Desperate Cry ... check out The End Complete (the song itself) from Obituary ... :kickass:
