In early December 2023, Sepultura issued a statement revealing that the band has, “reached the end of the road and has chosen to depart via a conscious and planned death. Throughout the next 18 months we will celebrate 40 years of existence together along with our loyal fans on a farewell tour across the entire globe. It will be a celebration of the past and the present for one final time.”

Speaking recently with Metal Hammer Germany guitarist Andreas Kisser revealed that the band are planning to conclude the “Celebrating Life Through Death” tour at the end of 2026.

Says Andreas: “We are planning to do a very big show in São Paulo, Brazil, or in Belo Horizonte. We’re still balancing these ideas, but at the end of 2026, we’d like to do this last show. We’d like to stretch. There’s no reason for us to stop in a hurry just because we announced the last, you know, two years ago or so. We had a great time last year. This year is already looking great. We’re starting here at 70000 Tons. We’re doing Lollapalooza in South America… Brazil, Argentina, Chile. We have a few shows in Central America, a few festivals this year in Europe, a few special concerts. In 2026 we’d like to do all the big festivals and finish in Brazil.”

Sepultura’s next show is scheduled for March 30 at Lollapalooza Brasil in São Paulo. Find the band’s complete tour itinerary here.
