Metal-Trails.com conducted an interview with singer Clémentine Delauney of European symphonic metallers SERENITY and VISIONS OF ATLANTIS on October 19 at this year's edition of the Metal Female Voices Fest at Oktoberhallen in Wieze, Belgium. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below.Delauney last week officially joined Austrian metallers VISIONS OF ATLANTIS as the band's new female singer. She said in a statement: "[VISIONS OF ATLANTIS] got in touch with me as they are willing to make a new start by going back to their musical origins and I am delighted to take part of this journey, offering me this unique chance to use my voice in a way I have never done within a band before."When I started to take classic singing lessons ten years ago, I discovered symphonic metal with female vocals on and I realized this was exactly the style of music I wanted to explore and to evolve in. "VISIONS OF ATLANTIS wants to go back to the style of their two first releases, which will enable me to show other aspects of my voice and personality. "I couldn't resist the call to realize such an old dream of mine to sing like this and to offer it to those of you who still love this genre!"SERENITY's new album, "War Of Ages", was made available on March 25 in Europe. The new CD introduced a major change in the band's music and lineup. Since their second album, SERENITY has been including female voices in its songs, had different guests to perform them live and among them was Clémentine Delauney. Going on tour together, the band realized her voice, personality and stage performance was bringing something special to the band's universe and thought she should be present on the new record. The idea evolved with time… why not have a permanent female voice in the band? And it seems they had found the perfect one both on professional and personal levels. So it came up somehow naturally that Clémentine should not be considered a "guest" anymore. "War Of Ages" was once again mixed and mastered by Jan Vacik at Dreamsound Studios in Munich, Germany. The cover artwork was created by Seth Siro Anton, who previously worked with SERENITY on their debut album.Interview (audio):
