Both of these have redefined True Crime and documentaries in general.

I mean.... :OMG:

But I mainly want to talk about Serial, since The Jinx is so obvious. So gloriously, cathartically obvious!

SERIAL: I've never seen a case make less sense from both sides, and make even less sense the more one thinks about it. Nothing adds up. But I still think Annyong* [sic] did it.

*Annyong!

I got through half an episode of SERIAL, found the host to be an annoying vunt. I watch a ton of forensic science/murder bullshite, so I was highly disappointed. :(

The few first episodes of The Jynx were pretty good. Fucking weirdo.

Yeah, she's annoying. But you're missing out.

YOU HAVE TO SEE THE END. GOOD GAWD!!!

You can't not finish. Seriously. Don't read about it on the net, just sit down and finish. TV history being made.

I finished the series, but didnt find his mutterings to be climactic. Probably on account that I watched the series after I heard of his arrest.

Check out HBO's doc on The Cheshire Murders. Its really done, while being a downer.:(

BEVERLEY was much more shocking, since it will likely be used as evidence.

Will check that out.

Watched:

The Cheshire Murders -- Interesting, but the two killers were obvious psychopaths, and after about 30 minutes I couldn't really figure out why I was still watching.

The Staircase -- I remember this case, since I was living in Durham / Chapel Hill at the time. Dude was guilty as fvck, but it's still great to see how a crack defense team deals with an unwinnable case. I feel extremely sorry for his kids. People forget that the in-denial supporters of the culprits only suffer slightly less than the victims' families themselves. I vaguely know the main attorney (Rudolf); he was my dad's professor in law school.

Paradise Lost -- About the West Memphis 3. All of them are out of prison now. Heavy metal + Wiccanism = MURDER. This one is particularly fucked up. There are only so many times a viewer can be subjected to the corpses of three eight year olds. Especially when one has been castrated. Great Metallica soundtrack, though.

Both scumbags have been spared a needle in their arm due to libtards in CT declaring capital punishment unconstitutional. Pathetic!
