set list question for first show on tour??

Im curious too. I want to know what songs they played so i know what to expect. Im kind of new to the band as i am going mainly for IE and CoB and saw these guys on the bill, but i think they are pretty good.

btw, how are they live? Also, i downloaded an Evergrey album called The Inner Circle and i dont even see it on their site. Is this the new album or is Recreation Day the newest? I have 2 of their cds, Solitude, Dominance, Tragedy, and The Dark Discovery and am curious how Recreation Day compares.

Here it is.....

1) Solitude Within
2) Masterplan
3) A Touch of Blessing
4) Rulers of the Mind
5) More Than Ever
6) End of Days
7) Blinded

To my best recollection that was the setlist. Someone correct me if I am wrong!! Tom had some guitar issues in the beginning. The guitar wasn't cranked as loud as it should have been on the first song or two but the problem was definitely fixed b/c I am deaf in one of my ears today. The two new songs were incredible live and they ended it solidly with two Recreation Day songs. I was up near the front and was standing near a couple of Iced Earth fans who had never heard of Evergrey and they were blown away. Literally blown away, one of the guys neaded earplugs half way through, maybe I should have borrowed a pair too! The band definitely cleaned house and it wasn't NEARLY long enough. They should definitely be playing second instead of Bodom, but that's just the way it is I guess. All in all, incredible first show, I look forward to Chicago this Tuesday. I'll have the setlist for that show by Wednesday. If you are at all possible to see Evergrey at some point during the tour you will not be disappointed.

Only 7 songs i see. Thats kind of a short set. Were they the opener, or was some local band the opener?

Evergrey opened up. The concert was running behind from the start so I think they may have cut Evergrey's set a song or two short. I think the most they would get to play if all went well would be 8 or 9 songs though.

Inner Circle is the new CD. Recreation Day is an excellent CD. IMO it is heavier and slightly more technical than Solitude or Dark Discovery, but is slightly less emotional in terms of lyrics. Prior to Inner Circle it is their best album in terms of production quality. However, you definitely should check out In Search of Truth... Hope that helps

I only have 3 of the songs on the setlist and they all kick ass so i cant wait to hear the others :)

They were awesome. They sound soooo good live. I agree that they should have been second as I am not the biggest Bodom fan but I'm sure they'll be back again before too long and they'll get a longer set. Especially after The Inner Circle gets released and the videos finally get shown.

Didn't they start off with another song? Seems to me they did but for the life of me I can't remember. (Can't remember a LOT of things today...)

I wouldn't be surprised if that setlist was missing a song or two, and there's the possibility they might add more from the new album once it is released.

I wish I did miss a song or two. Unfortunately I am 100% sure that's all they played. I'm really hoping though they will add a song or two if the concert starts on time. Also, I'm hoping they play Visions which is my favorite song. I don't know if they have ever played that one live.

Not too bad a setlist, I like it. Only complaint is they coulda played something else besides End (I love this song even than). The Great Deceiver, As I Lie Here Bleeding, or Unforgiveable would have been great choices as well :). They made good with the room they had to spare.

I can't fuckign wait for the show on the 17 of May :kickass:
