Seventh son of the seventh son

"Here's what not to do when a bird shits on ya, THE RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER!!!"..sorry but when i can throw that quote in i do :p...any how Mariner is me fav song, so dynamic, soooo bloody long:lol:

I'm gonna have to go with Hallowed Be Thy Name too.

Sure it's not 10+ minutes long, but 'Hallowed' doesn't have to be to qualify as 'spectacular' - unlike Seventh Son and Rime where I feel there length attracts more attention than the quality of music.

(Sydo points and rolleyes to all prog fans)

Rime is one of the few long songs where I don't even notice the length while I'm listening to it. The only other one I can think of at the moment is Dream Theater's "A Change of Seasons".

I love all of the above. I never notice how long Opeth's songs are either. 9-13 (or more) minutes pass by in a flash.

Same here. :) Although often with Opeth, it's hard to tell where one song ends and another begins! ;)
