Shadows Fall : Retribution Mix

Just wondering what others thought of this mix. I like it musically , but it seems like a much more lo-fi mix than Threads of Life , which in my eyes was maybe a tad over polished , yet very good sounding mix. This one sounds a bit muddy and the toms seem to distort a lot ... so what do you guy think of it? I thought the guitars sounded better on Threads.
