Thougth it would be great to share some match ir´s. Seems no one (apart from Clark Kent himself) has done it yet, right? Well here´s my first one. I made it using TSE808, Lextac in red mode, bright with all knobs at noon. Since Lextac has much less highs than other ampsims, you have to tame them on Lecto and stuff.

The clip switch between Lextac with described settings and Lecto orange/modern with highs, pres., and resonance all the way down:

IR: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/929252/%24Despised%20Icon%24Lextac%24IR.wav

Please notice that it will sound different depending on your gear. The IR was made using a cheap LTD with EMG81 and fucking oldest strings on earth.

Reference;)

the tone on this record is so sick. i should run our JSX through this IR as that's what was originally used.... it's pretyyyyyy close but doesn't have any of the awesome speaker movement/distortion that this tone has. UGH LOVE ITTTTTT

Yeah, you absolutely right man. It´s impossible to create that speaker movement thing with ir´s. Especially Low-end and low-mids are static and lifeless when it comes to impulses. But please notice that Mago´s DI tracks have a different tuning playing style etc. Should have used more brutal ones...

thats fuckin' cool mate, thanks !

btw, what was that first riff in the first IR test? i feel like i totally heard it somewhere...can't remember
