What the hell is going on in Watford these days? First, we had Gallows burst forth from its loins early this year and now we another band, Shellshock, who are back to their usual ear-abusing ways with this E-metal onslaught. Sounding like the bastard child of Slipknot, Korn, The Prodigy, Pendulum and Pitchshifter (what happened to them?!), these guys pedal some seriously cool shit. Prepare to have your faces set to stunned.

Laws of Rebellion is an oxymoron that serves to highlight the way the band itself is an oxymoron. The music that they fuse together, namely drum 'n' bass, jungle, death metal, rave and nu-metal, is usually kept as far away from each other as possible, and for good reason. Anyone who owns a Limp Bizkit album should be able to tell you about the dangers of mixing certain genres. But these guys sound aggressive, violent, spikey and above all as catchy as syphilis on speed. If you are into any of the bands (apart from Limp Bizkit) mentioned in this review, or are simply a fan of electronica informed metal such as Hanzel Und Gretyl, then you will love this.
