shitty screams

i have a project who have fairly good instrumental skills
but the screamer uses really bad inhales and i dont know how to fix them

Yeesh. First thing i would try is detuning them. Then a tad bit of distortion just my 0.02 though.

what do you suggest for distortion?

My DAW, StudioOne, comes with Ampire and RedLight. Of the two I prefer RedLight. Not sure what you're using or what plugins you have access too though..

Screams sound better than the cleans.

Screams are definitely better than the cleans. I think you should concentrate on tightening up those drums, and getting the guitars more on time! And wheres the bass guitar? (still tracking)? Maybe pull down the volume of 1 of the vocal doubles for a start. Do some of these things and you'll be in a better mix situation. Hope that helps man
