SHOK PARIS has reformed and just played in Greece. They'll have their first CD since 1989 out later this year. I like all of their 3 albums. Vocalist Vic Hix might be an acquired taste as he has a "special" voice and a "special" singing style, but I think he's good. The 2 albums he released with the band AFTERSHOK ("Unfinished Business" and "Burning Chrome") were pretty good traditional metal.

I was interested by them when I first heard Marsielles de Sade/Battle Cry on the Hit Parader "The Wild Bunch" compilation back in the mid-80's. I never did get Go For the Throat but did get Steel and Starlight when it came out, and wasn't too smitten with that. I would like to eventually check out Go For the Throat, though...

Yep...I love this band. Concrete Killers is probably my fave, but they're all really solid albums. I really dig the Aftershok stuff too, so I'm looking forward to hearing what the new Shok Paris will sound like....I won't be too surprised if it sounds like the classic stuff!
