Short clip with NickCrow 7170

And the tuning is drop A. The settings and chain is the same throughout the clip, but before the drums and bass kick in i turned it down a bit for less gain and palm muted obviously.

The different tube screamers do completely different things, the TSS gives it more balls, while the second tube screamer just takes away the boomyness and makes it tighter ( notice how the gain is on 0 )

whoa, from a plugin? nick crow is pretty much god. why the hell haven't line6 kidnapped him and locked him in a cage until he promises to work there?!

i'm impressed.

thanks,

It's sounds good! I will try it. I can't download the 7170 (??)... Do anybody upload it rapidshare or something? Thx!

...I used your preset (I little modified) and it's usable for me, thanks! Question: I'm a beginner at this whole sound-theme, but I'm interrested in!
Could you write to me your drum settings, or preset you used? It's very cool? ( maybe DHF superior or AD?) Have you used real bass, or VSTi + amp plugin? Thx!

Well as I already said it's not either of those, it's regular DFH. I replaced the kick with a tama starclassic kick which should be on the sneap forum ftp. I high passed out most of the kick drum in the overheads and room. I gave the kick a boost at around 8000 hz and 60 hz and cut it a lot at 250-500 hz. I put a limiter on the kick and used gclip on the snare.

The bass is my guitar downtuned with amplitube. I used the gtr to bass crunch preset with a shitload of post processing, including brickwalling it.
