SHould I Buy This Bass?

$200 is a good price. you don't need anything too fancy at all to start out with bass. I got my first bass not too long ago, a second hand Peavey Milestone (this: http://www.gearaudition.com/admin-images/bass-guitars/Peavey_Milestone_3.jpg) which was pretty much in perfect condition for only £99 and I love it. although I did get to test it out at the shop before I bought it, but as you're buying online it's hard to say really. I'm not really a bass expert. I'd check the site's refund policies first, or something.

For a starter anything around 200 there isn't going to be a whole lot of difference in quality. I'm not really down with Dean in any way shape or form though so I'd say no based on them being fuck ugly.

That bass is ass ugly. I'd recommend getting the Ibanez starter kit...for the money the bass isnt that bad, although it's not the best either.

tbh, if this is your first bass buy something of decent quality (it doesnt have to be a super duper guitar) with decent action, decent sound, decent durability at a low cost. dont go out purchasing 1k+ basses.

Oh. Oh really.

guthrie govan said it, who can argue with guthrie hes a monster

anyways, les shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentence as victor wooten, vic is a god

 Another classic Vuash statement.

Les has earned his right to be anywhere he pleases. Les, and victor sitting on a tree.

les is ok, but wooten blows him over

the only person that is maybe as cool as vic is stanley clarke

They're both freakin amazing. There's no need to compare at their stage of musicianship.

Fuck man.

if they are both amazing theres even more reason to compare their musicianship. if they were both shit no one would care whos better

does anyone like SMV?

Gosh, I have no idea how Ibanez' basses sound, so I can't say shit about them. Anyway, since I don't know jack shit about basses, I think you should go to a REAL shop and try out some of them, see which one you're most comfortable with. At low prices the sound would probably be horrible with any bass you try, so it's not really an issue.
