So there's a company that is interested in hiring me in Seatle. Sounds like a good job and what not, but it's in Seatle. Anyone have any opinions on this town.

+ it's gorgeous, like a clean version of SF
- the traffic sucks balls and mass-transit is lacking
+ there's a crazy underground city
- lots of junkies
+ near all sorts of amazing nature stuff nearby (Olympic nat'l park, the bay, the sound)
- tons of (suburban) sprawl
+ best beer store I've ever seen

Not sure on both. I won't be able to move if they don't help with moving costs. And the pay shouldn't be a concern. I would assume it'd pay enough so that I don't have to live in the underground city.

seattle is pretty expensive, keep that in mind. peruse craigslist or something for some sample rent prices.

yea what avi said. check craigslist about the rent because it is pretty high there. but it's a dece place to live.

Sure, only $100 a night. Of course I'd have to get the job first. I've got some good possibilities for jobage in this area, but it's still Wisconsin. I don't know wether I should just do the easy thing and stay here. Well, I suppose I could at least interview with these seattle people. Maybe they'll think I suck and won't want me anyway.

there's no harm in trying. i mean you can always turn down the job if they offer it to you. i mean i wouldn't have gotten my new job if they original guy they asked had said yes.

As everyone else has said, rent is high. Also, it's rainy, and if you're suseptible to seasonal depression this is not the place to be. Commuting can be difficult during our two rush hours, but the rest of the day it's smooth sailing. There are a lot of cool things to see, but I think all of this has been covered already.

not only is coffee EVERYWHERE in the NW, it is also always high-grade and awesome. not a problem by me.
