shred

this guy isn't THAT great, i mean he's good, but chris and loomis got tons of shit on him any day. like... song writing. this guy just does arpeggios fast and can do a fast "pacmanish" (or was it galaga?) run. so what. even herman li of dragonforce can do that shit better.

also if you want real fast shred just listen to Francesco Fareri

no...I just hate it when people down-talk shredders cus of "lack of feeling/emotion/soul." I for one prefer logical and theory based solos to educated guesses as far as note selection goes.

In this prick's opinion, solos are unnecessary half of the time, as it is. Shredding in general isn't welcomed on my cans, save the occasional creative riff.

*edit*

Suffice to say, technicality isn't always creativity and that's where a lot, if not the majority, of shredders lose out. To say it's because I don't have an ear for it, I'm classically trained. I'm sure most of you would agree to this logic though, because it's all too easy to hear.

Ah, yes, as we were just talking about. Anything the Flecktones or the Wooten brothers do is obviously an exception to my solo rule. :kickass:
