no, unlike Josh I am a real man and I braved the cold and went into work anyway.

i'm actually really sick but i can't afford to take a sick day 'til friday, when i'll (hopefully) be all better.

i don't think i've ever used a sick day for being sick (in work life).
if i'm miserable, i want to make everyone else miserable.

so i'm guessing you went to the rhode island show, not the philly one with dysrhythmia? i told a guy i know from philly to go to that, but he just mailed me back and whined about some crap and didn't mention it so he did not heed my advice.
