Well another new guy here ;)
Please excuse my bad english, i didn´t use it for a few years now :erk:
but back to my question...

My Problem:
I mixed some tracks, EQed them, but can´t get the bassdrum through guitars and bass. although i did a low cut on guitars and cut the bass at 70hz (boosted it at 120hz).
Some guy in an german hobby recording forum, told my of using a sidechainer, to get the bassdrum to the front.
So is this a way which is done in an proffesional recording, or is it just faking??

would e great if some of you professionals may answer that :worship: :D

HI!
Yes! that might work.
Whats the style of music that you're mixing?
Anyway try to cut at 400/600hz and boost a bit at 2.5/4K on bassdrum and maybe a touch at 12K for the extra "tick". but I'm just guessing here...
Good luck!
