I think that the members of Cain's Offering have listen to Steve Williams songs before writing there own songs. What do you think about it ? :Spin:

Cain's Offering is a new band with Jani Liimatainen (ex-Sonata Arctica) and Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius)

*bums this*

EDIT: Ooh, Jani used some of his riffs from the demos he did on the young guitar DVD! [/nerd]

In all seriousness though, I don't think it sounds much like PQ. It's keyboard-laden like Sonata, but I think Steve might admit there's a couple of influences for himself there...

They could have listening to any number of other melodic power metal bands out there. Hell they've even been in a couple.

Sounds good, though.

Well I'm not sure about musical similarities but at 0:29 on the track 'Thorn In My Side' (thanks YouTube pirates) the lyrics say "you are the master of illusion"!

Also the new Celesty album 'Vendetta' has a track called 'Gates of Tomorrow' which is also a Japanese bonus

Oh btw, every track I've heard off YouTube is phenomenally good. I love this album A LOT. :headbang: :kickass: :D

Sounds a lot like very early Sonata Arctica-lite, yea...
