Sister Sin

This was even more surprising.

Drop dead! :p We already talked a bit about it. I can't recall how I knew about them first if it was through MySpace or Kerrazy, but I really like that catchy metal/hard rock with a female singer in ther vein of Veronica from Benedictum or Doro from Warlock.

But 'Beat The Street', 'Death Will Greet Us', and the cover of 'Make My Day' (Motorhead) are really songs that instantly catch your attention and don't let it go easily.

GREAT cd, picked it up at Prog Power this weekend, had the mp3s for a few weeks before. Totally dig the old school vibe with this band, and I like Liv's vocals quite a lot. I know someone who might even be trying to get them for a festival in the US (Not Prog Power). If they succeed, I WILL be there! :headbang:

They remind me Skew Siskin at least the earlier version of them...

Interesting you mention it. I tried Skew Siskin awhile ago and didn't click with me, I found it unispiring (at least "Peace Breaker" which was the one I checked), but Sister Sin is growing every time I listen to it.

Bumping this one because I just got their album and definitively is one of the best of the year, considering is the debut of the band that say a lot about them. :headbang:

Streaming the Smash the Silence EP and ome demos from their site. Good old old school chick rock. Love it! Looking forward to the debut.

BTW, the song "Minor You, Major Me" sounds like Crue's "Too Young To Fall In Love".

Actually thought Sister Sin was weak but the year was pretty good  :Smug:

So the debut? I will try look for it, thanks for the info.

And yes, Sister Sin it's a definitive must have album for 2008 (especially if you feel the year has been weak)
