Skitzo - Hellavator Music
2002 - Mourningstar Records
By Mark Bridgeman
A mixture of old school 80s thrash, nu-esque groove, and early 90s thrashcore. Skitzo's Hellavator Music is a somewhat patchy outing, albeit one that rocks with its nuts out. Skitzo would have gone down well 15 years ago, and I'm unsure if they will now - at least to a wider audience that's lost interest in straight-ahead thrash. But, fortunately for us, the songs are there - they're well played (if not completely well-recorded), heavy, oozing of everything I remember from the 80s metal from both sides of the Atlantic, and surging along like a metal freight train.
Standout's - "Krystal Death's Horizon", "Angel's Blood".
7.5/10
