Slash says that "everybody's really getting along great" on GUNS N' ROSES' stadium tour, but admits to finding it "surreal" that the reunited band is back on the road after more than twenty years. The "Not In This Lifetime" trek, which kicked off on June 23 at Ford Field in Detroit, features classic lineup members Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and Axl Rose backed by drummer Frank Ferrer, guitarist Richard Fortus, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and new second keyboardist Melissa Reese. Speaking to AEROSMITH drummer Joey Kramer on WZLX, the guitarist said (hear audio below): "All the shows have been great that we've done so far. Last night was only our third show on this leg and then we did seven shows prior to that." When Kramer asked Slash if everyone in the band is "playing nice," the guitarist said: "Everybody's playing great. Playing nice, yeah. Everybody's getting along and everybody's playing great, and the shows have been awesome. We all were pretty positive that that would never happen, so it's still sort of blowing our minds. It seems so surreal to me, you know. But everybody's really getting along great and I think everybody's come a long way, and it's all cool." Rose just finished a stint as lead vocalist for AC/DC on that band's European festival run, and is slated to play at least ten North American shows with that group right after GUNS complete their stadium trek in late August. GUNS N' ROSES next plays on Friday night (July 1) in Chicago, Illinois.
