I am kinda of excitied. If this is old school rap of the Rick Rubin of old, i think it could be quite good. Someone else on this board must enjoy old 80's rap?

A host of SLAYER riffs have been sampled in a track called "Don't Fuck Wit Me" on the new LIL JON & THE EAST SIDE BOYZ album, "Crunk Juice", due on November 16 via TVT Records. The song, which was produced by longtime SLAYER producer Rick Rubin, is available for streaming online at MTV.com (listed as track #10: "Stop F***in Wit Me").

Working with Rick Rubin, who produced many of the classic rap recordings from LL COOL J, RUN-DMC and the BEASTIE BOYS, among others, was a special thrill for the EAST SIDE BOYZ. "Rick doesn't really get down with rappers," Lil Bo (EASTSIDE BOYZ) told UniversalUrban.com. "He only worked with JAY-Z on '99 Problems', that's the only rapper he has worked with since back in the day. For him to work with us was an honor. We got together and the song we did is incredible. It's going to reach out to the white kids and the black kids. The concept based on an old SUICIDAL TENDENCIES song and I relayed that into an urban setting.

I like old 80's rap but I'm a bit hesitant. Okay it's playing...

Annoying. It's just portions of Slayer songs with shit yelled rap over it with no coherence with the music, nothing creative.

I am So. Fucking. Tired. of rappers yelling "STOP FUCKING WIT' ME!!!" It's become more commonplace than "yo."

Song finally ended. Über-shite.

Yeah rap is terrible today, terrible. But 15 years ago, it wasnt half bad. Musically it wasnt anything special, but it had a message and a meaning, and some groups were entertaining. It was really the first music I listened to outside of like the Beatles.

If you want Slayer sampled in hip hop, go to a decent intelligent band like Public Enemy. Try "She Watch Channel Zero" and lo and behold, "Angel of Death" is kicking your ass.

Recently I caught a few seconds of some other rap group sampling Ozzy's "Crazy Train". It was terrible...they kept playing the "aye aye aye" bit over and over Randy Rhoads opening riff.

This is the exact point when Slayer sold out. No further discussion necessary.

haha I remember making a thread about that on a different board when they came out and everyone was at my throat like: "u by band shirts! y shouldnt u be able 2 by band shoes111!?> u closedminded faggit!"

yeah, but seriously. Slayer shoes = gay

The Vans shoes are a little silly. Kerry King has his own clothing line now which, ehhh...

Haha, I remember I pwnz0red some Opeth fanboy on another (non-music) forum, he had an Opeth logo for an avatar and wrote about 500 words on how terrible those Slayer Vans are and how bands shouldn't engage in shameless merchandising like that. So I replied with a giant picture of the Opeth thong. :tickled:

I kept scrolling down, thinking surely somebody would mention this PE song. It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back is probably the greatest rap album ever made.

Duuude!!! I heard this for the first time today at work, haha. I was sooo fucking digusted!!! Absolutely horrific. Nowadays rap is fucking putrid and is filled with recycled ideas/no creativity whatsoever, not even mentioning the lyrical content...baaaah. There is also a couple relatively new ones out with IN-A-Gadda-Da-Vida's riff transformed into a looping beat. Ok, I'm gonna go blow chunks all over my house now. 'cuse me.:yuk:
