Here is a pic of SLAYER when they played at the Birmingham Hummingbird in September 1988. They were supported by NUCLEAR ASSAULT.

Cool. This very tour is the first I saw them, and I had been a Slayer fanatic since Show No Mercy. I saw them in Tucson, AZ. I even remember the shirt Kerry is wearing in this picture being one on sale during the tour. When I saw them Kreator (if I remember right) was opening. I've actually got some pictures of me with the band since I waited outside the club like a little fanboy. I'll see if I can dig 'em up.

Back in the golden age.

Hey Noob, nice Pagan Altar plug there. I have their first CD, and it's awesome. Still need to chase down the other(s), but they are usually kind of expensive, so I am watching for used. Anyway, cool. They are rarely mentioned here....Also, there are few things more "metal" than Cronos by Gaia.....

Very awesome photo.. in their heyday... I first saw them 2 years after that during their Seasons in the Abyss tour... White Zombie and Biohazard opened for them... unfortunately most of the show is a blur for me since i was drunk on JD and Beer that night... at Sundance in Bayshore, Long Island in New York ...

Kerry with hair, classic!
Root of all Evil t-shirt, everyone was wearing those!

Yeah I remember those days, never got to see them play live then though, booltlegs only...

Neat Pic:
First saw them when "Hell awaits" came out. In fact I saw a few shows on that tour with - of all things - Megadeth opening up, supporting "Killing is my Business..." Those were cool days. The classic shows at L'Amour in Brooklyn, etc...Slayer were Gods in those days:kickass:
