Has anybody else noticed that all three of Slayer's drummers that have appeared on their recordings have all done stints with Testament at some point? That's Dave Lombardo, John Dette, and Paul Bostaph.

All three are great through, the only drummer i never liked in Testament was Gene Hoglan. Although beeing a supertalented pro, i never liked the way he played to the songs of Demonic.

I enjoyed Gene's drumming on Demonic actually... It was interesting how he interacted with Eric's riffing....
Still, I think Gene's true home is in Strapping Young Lad.

Lombardo wasn't used to his fullest on The Gathering, but his style is still unmistakable. Paul Bostaph is one of my favorite drummers anyway, so that's going to be cool to hear him record with them.
