SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor was interviewed earlier today (Sunday, June 7) before the band's performance at this year's edition of the Rock Am Ring festival in Mendig, Germany. You can now watch the chat below. Also available is professionally filmed video footage of SLIPKNOT's set.Asked if SLIPKNOT expected to become as popular as it has when the band was first starting out, Taylor responded: "No. Not at all, man. I mean, when we first started, this didn't even occur to us. I mean, when we first started, we were kind of looking at it as, 'Okay, we'll be a band that maybe sells two hundred thousand albums at the most, so we can tour and just have fun and do it.' And it just got bigger and bigger and bigger, to the point where it was just, like, 'What is going on?' I mean, nobody was more shocked by our success than we were, to be honest. But, you know, looking back, you hope for it — you hope for it, but you don't wanna wish for it too much, because then it'll take away from the excitement of how everything happens naturally. So, for us, I mean, it's… We're so lucky, it's not even funny."SLIPKNOT's latest album, ".5: The Gray Chapter", came out in October.SLIPKNOT's "Summer's Last Stand" tour kicks off on July 24 in West Palm Beach, Florida, wrapping up six weeks later on September 5 in Dallas. Joining SLIPKNOT on the road trip will be LAMB OF GOD, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and MOTIONLESS IN WHITE. The summer jaunt follows a brief spring run that SLIPKNOT launched on April 25 at the Fort Rock festival in Fort Myers, Florida, ending on May 16 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The new single released from "The Gray Chapter" is "Killpop".Interview:
