Stay Metal Ray has uploaded a video interview with Jim Root in which the SLIPKNOT guitarist goes over the gear he used for the band's summer 2019 "Knotfest Roadshow" tour. Check it out below. "Knotfest Roadshow" kicked off on July 26 in Mountain View, California at Shoreline Amphitheater and continued through September 8 where it concluded with a performance at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas. VOLBEAT, GOJIRA and BEHEMOTH provided support on all dates. SLIPKNOT's latest album, "We Are Not Your Kind", sold 118,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week of release to land at position No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Of that sum, 102,000 were in album sales. "We Are Not Your Kind"'s sales were boosted by a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer with SLIPKNOT's tour. The disc was once again recorded at a Los Angeles studio with producer Greg Fidelman, who engineered and mixed "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)" and helmed 2014's ".5: The Gray Chapter".
