I like some of their songs. Disarm, Today, and others which I can't be assed trying to remember the names of.

But mostly they are not my cup of tea

Their newer stuff isn't that good IMO, but some of their older stuff is excellent.

It's Billy Corgan's voice that gets on my nerves. Oh, and his lyrics. I hold him and Kurt Cobain personally responsible for the "let's all bitch and moan instead of just playing rock and roll and having a good time" trend in 90s music.

I've never found Pumpkins or Nirvana lyrics/music to be particularly bitchy or moany at all.

The Smashing Pumpkins do sound very damp and moany at times, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
