Adelaide's biggest metropolitan rubbish dump will close as part of a long-term state government plan to remove all landfill sites, in favour of recycling. State Environment and Conservation Minister John Hill said the closure of the Wingfield landfill site, in Adelaide's north, was a milestone in changing the way the state dealt with its waste.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I used to live at 37 Hanson Road Wingfield. 38 was a brothel, and there was a heavy machinery depot over the road.


One day a goat escaped from the tannery, and had me standing in a trailer in the front yard for an hour before Mum finally distracted it, and I could run inside.


A tannery @ 40C is not what you want to live near.
