So my computer crashed and burned this weekend...

It's working now, but I now have the un fun task of regaining my music collection, rebuilding my favorites, and tweeking with it so that stupid sounds don't play everytime I do something on here. Viruses suck!

I had to do the same thing about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Fuckin' sucked. Losing 7 GBs of music and text files isn't too cool in my book.

Well, we managed to salvage a lot of my shit, but now I have to go back and re-download all those Invader Zim episodes I had!

I've had 5 harddrives die on me.

Deep, I'd suggest investing some money into a Maxtor drive. I've never had one die on me.

My Maxtor 30GB died on me last spring when it was only a year old, that was a HUGE drag. But, since it was less than 3 years old, they replaced it for me, AND since they didn't make 30GB drives anymore, I got a 40GB drive as a replacement. So it all worked out okay in the end, though I'd still rather not have had it die on me to begin with.
